"The 'One, Two, Three' of Male Ejaculation"
Often, men joke about poor sexual quality, calling it "123," meaning "very fast"... So what exactly is the medical process of male ejaculation? Ha, coincidentally, it also has three steps...
Ejaculation is a physiological response in healthy men under strong sexual stimulation, mainly a reflex activity controlled by the brain and spinal cord centers. Sexual stimulation received during sexual activity is transmitted through the spinal cord to the brain, which sends the command to ejaculate, expelling semen and completing the entire process of orgasmic ejaculation.
The specific process of male ejaculation is:
First, when sexual stimulation reaches a certain level, the smooth muscles of the epididymis and vas deferens contract, driving sperm toward the posterior urethra. At the same time, the bladder sphincter contracts to prevent semen from entering the bladder and urine from entering the urethra. Sperm mix with secretions from the prostate, seminal vesicles, and bulbourethral glands in the posterior urethra to form semen;
Second, when sexual excitement reaches the ejaculatory threshold, the muscles at the bladder neck contract, and testicular fluid, epididymal fluid, sperm, seminal vesicle fluid, and prostatic fluid are discharged into the posterior urethra. At this point, one feels a sensation of fullness in the posterior urethra and an urge to ejaculate, called "emission";
Third, the strong sexual stimulation caused by increased movement speed leads to rhythmic contractions of the ischiocavernosus and bulbospongiosus muscles at the base, propelling semen out through the urethral opening to complete ejaculation. During ejaculation, one experiences an indescribable comfort and pleasure, accompanied by increased breathing and heart rate, elevated blood pressure, and both voluntary and involuntary contractions of muscles throughout the body.
In the entire ejaculation process, the prostate is an important organ directly involved in completing ejaculation. When sexual activity reaches climax, the prostate undergoes rhythmic contractions and relaxations, completing the entire ejaculation sequence. We have previously explained the prostate, and it is a very sensitive area in men. When semen passes through, it rapidly contracts and relaxes, which is one reason why men experience pleasure during orgasm. Therefore, it is essential to take good care of your prostate.
